A Surgical Approach to Giant Cell Tumor of Lower End of Tibia with Curettage and Reconstruction by Bone Grafting Harvested from Left Iliac Crest and K-wire Fixation: A Case Report

Introduction: Giant cell tumor (GCT) is a distinctive lesion characterized by the proliferation of multinucleate giant cells in stroma mononuclear cells; it generally seen skeletally mature individuals. GCT usually found long bones around knee or distal radius but end tibia, proximal humerus, vertebrae young adults are unusual location. We report case with secondary aneurysmal bone cyst, 26-year-old female. Based on our review medical literature, appears that occurrence along cyst (ABC) tibia less typical challenging task for full resection and restoration ankle function to normal. Case Summary: 26 year old female presented pain&swelling over left since last six month. Biopsy was suggestive ABC lower third tibia. managed this intralesional curettage using phenol burr graft harvested from iliac crest reconstruction defect kwire fixation achieve optimum anatomical restoration. Conclusion: In cases GCT, management depends upon various factors such as site, age, involvement bone, extent whether there articular not. Here Intra-articular extended phenol. Bone plays role agent reduction.
